Comments From Those Who Knew Him....

Mrs. Ruth Jensen-- Principal, Salpointe Catholic High School

"Logan was one of a kind. I mean, I have never met a kid with such enthusiasm for art. He loves his music and painting and sculpting and so on. You know, I'm a bit of a painter myself. Maybe you would like to check out and do a tribute to my artisitc integrity. After all, I am forcing Guertin to teach about me next year.....Oh, well yes, of course, when I die."

Steven Carillo-- Friend and Runner for Tucson High School

"Logan was a good guy. I remember when we used to go walking down the streets and when we would go past a gang I would start screaming at him to 'Stop oppressin', whitey!' It was always good for a laugh. Heh heh. But seriously, white boy, get that damn recorder out of my face. "

Manuel--Former Teammate at Salpointe Catholic High School

"Logan was a good guy. He used to always make me laugh because I had this crazy ass laugh. Like I couldn't inhale or something."

Ara Parseghian-- Grandson of Ara Parseghian

"What the hell are you doing here? I told you to stay away from me and my girlfriend. Get back here. I'm going to break your back in four different places before you feel anything! Oh yeah, that's right. Run away Nancy!"

l-traintrack.jpg
Portion of the L-train track; Chicago, IL

"I'm a portion of a train track. Just because I am the L-train and this kid thought it was a macho nickname doesn't mean I should give a rats ass. I mean, look at me, I'm going to collapse any day now."

maher.jpg
Dan Maher-- Training partner and Salpointe teammate

"Man, I totally respect Logan. I mean, he went the way I hope to go...running. He didn't choke on a sandwich or go in his sleep. He ran. Man, I'm going to take a jog on the highway so I can be sure to have the same destiny as L-train."

David Hohman--Friend and Salpointe Teammate

"I'm pretty sure Logan's last wishes were for me to get his Lake Forest College warm-ups. I hope someone is compassionate enough to fulfill that man's desires."

Lake Forest Runner Erin Motzer

"Yeah, we totally got it on."

frfredtillotson.jpg
Fr. Fred Tillotson-- President, Salpointe Catholic High School

"Logan....Logan....hmmm, nope. Doesn't ring a bell to me. And don't look so damn surprised! I'm not here to learn your names. I'm here to cut overhead so we can stay afloat. Oh yeah, he's dead. Like that's suppose to help me remember him any better? Give me a break. When he donates some money to us I might learn his name."

Karen ;O'Hagan-- Bookworm and Crewer

"I'm glad he's dead. He was always talking shit and whatnot. Damn boy, I should have preferred that I had done the deed myself. Bitch!"

derekmeiringiamsuchabitch.jpg
Derek Meiring--Lake Forest Teammate

"I'm such a bitch. You can't even start to believe what a bitch I am. I mean, I think I am hot shit here in a D-3 Lake Forest. Don't worry, I know what a bitch I am. I just grew this beard thingie because I thought I would look like a man. Alas, it did not."

elch0riz.gif
El Ch0rizo- Lake Forest College Roomate

"Logan being dead has really improved my life. Before, my girlfriend would always be all like, 'Does he have to sit in the corner and watch us like that?' But now, she's all freaky and wants to get into his bed. I mean, yeah, it is kinda creepy, but I know Logan is watching us from his corner in the sky."

dicklfc.jpg
Ghost of Logan Dick-- Spirit Form of Dead Runner at Lake Forest College

"Shut up. I'm not a ghost. I'm just not dead. Okay, you're right, I am ghost. That's why I can go through walls and stuff. But anyways, I order you to make a tribute to my deceased persons."

odc.jpg
Mike Urbanski-- Head Cross Country Coach and Vice Principal of Salpointe Catholic

"I'm am as devastated as anyone else that Logan's gone. But it isn't like he is missing out on much. Like you said, he pretty much peaked when he won that 1600m at Douglas his sophmore year. He should be glad he never had to get a job or pay off a morgage."

onnor.jpg
Sean O'Connor, Guy on Lake Forest Cross Country Team

"I think Logan is still, technically, on the roster. So you know what that means? I'm not the worst runner on the team anymore!...Okay, I'll just shut up now."

This is the end of the tribute. I hope that you had some good memories of Logan as well. He was a good man. He'll be missed. Thank you for tributing him with me.
