Logan Is Running

Logan was also well recognized as a runner. At Salpointe, if you thought of track or cross country, you thought of Logan Dick. The man was a trooper and when it came time to give out awards, we decided Logan was the one to recieve them. Unfortunately, senior year, our cross country team failed to be the only team in the school to not win their region championship that fall. Fearing that Logan would have to face this shame alone at the school assembly (because I sure as hell wasn't going up there), I talked regional heavyweight wrestling champion, Matt Dyhr, into accepting schoolwide honors for the team with Logan. And it worked. Shocked to see Matt Dyhr representing the cross country team at the assembly, our coach gave me a nice chewing out about sending up Matt rather than going off on Logan for our failure to be victorious. I think Logan learned a lot from that experience.
