Logan Dick (May 24, 1983 to Mid-November 2002)
Logan Dick: Runner

That Man Would Run Like There A Wilderbeast On His Ass

We ran with Logan for four years at Salpointe. Then he ran two years at Lake Forest College (IL) before he died. Logan tried to run over Lake Michigan. He was a runner, and will forever be in out hearts. He also loved basketball.

Senior year, Logan was manager for the basketball team. He got to practice with them, but it was very rare that he ever got to play. Well, one game, the Lancers were up by so much that Coach Brian Peabody called on Logan to go in. In his short time on the floor, Logan was fouled and awarded two free throw shots. According to Brian Eller, Logan's first shot bounced off the back of rim. Thinking that he needed to compensate for the adrenaline, Logan shot the second shot rather softly. So softly, in fact, that is fell to the ground without hitting anything. Logan managed the first airballed free-throw I had ever heard of. However, I understand that he made one point from the line later that night.
